What brought you to Partners in Excellence? I worked with kids at my previous job and once I graduated from Winona State I wanted to continue working with kids to help them in any way I could.
Describe your fellow Partners employees in three words: Energetic, Creative, and Fun
What is something most people don’t know about you? I like to smoke meats in my free time and would love to one day open my own restaurant.
Do you have any advice for someone who is just starting their career at Partners? My advice would be to just have as much fun with the kiddos as possible. Playing games and doing activities they’re interested in is a great way to build your relationship with each kid and helps with getting your career here at Partners started on the the right path. Don’t be afraid to be “weird”!
What podcasts should be on everyone’s must listen list? If interested in sports, Pardon My Take
If you could be anyone for a week, who would it be and why? Guy Fieri, he gets paid millions to go to restaurants and eat food.
Is there a moment, a specific story, event, or a kiddo that really stands out to you in your time at Partners? The moments that stand out to me are watching the POD 42 kids graduate from Partners and move onto their next school. It is fulfilling being able to see how much progress the kids make here at Partners with their daily living skills, social skills, and even academic skills. Seeing how proud they are of themselves on the day they graduate makes all the tough days worth it.
Which of our core values most resonates with you and why? Positive Attitude. Because bringing a positive attitude to work everyday will help make each day at least a little better and fun for everyone. The kids will see your positive attitude and it will, usually, brighten their mood too.
