Alexis is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) who has been practicing at our La Crosse location since February 2018. Alexis earned her Associate’s degree at Western Technical College in La Crosse, WI. Alexis was previously a behavior therapist at Partners and her dream job was to eventually work as a COTA//L at Partners—and as she puts it, the stars aligned! What keeps Alexis at Partners is how amazing the staff and clients are and seeing the amazing progress our clients make. Alexis often thinks of how our clients started and the skills, social interaction, functional language, safety awareness, and overall independence that they have achieved in a short amount of time. Alexis also loves that our clients’ goals are play-based; both her clients and her have fun while promoting occupational therapy skills— win-win!

When Alexis is not at Partners, she enjoys gardening, canning, playing cards, going on hikes, watching movies, and reading a good book. Her husband jokes that most of her favorite hobbies are chores! Alexis lives with her husband and their dog, Vince!
